I had been wanting to get a cover-up of the two (very) tiny ladybugs on my left breast. Since I'm a Pisces, I thought of fish, but didn't want to get Koi like most other people. I also live in the Northwest, so I decided on salmon. I took my ideas to Israel Caine (the same person that did my morning glories) and he sketched out a drawing of a male and female salmon. I love it! It's unique and Caine did an excellent job of shading. I get quite a few compliments about it and everyone always wants to know who the artist is.
This was my most painful tattoo. I have to admit that I was glad to know how to do labor breathing to get me through it! I wish I would have done a floral chain instead of the tribal art with hearts, but oh well. It was a long time ago and flash art...didn't know any better. Now I only do custom designs.
I got my first tattoo in the late 80s while stationed in Germany. It was a butterfly on over my right pelvic bone. A couple of years ago I decided to get some tribal art...a big heart on my right arm. I wasn't happy with the heart on my arm...it just wasn't me, plus it was flash art. I wanted something original, so I had Isreal Caine design me a piece. My only stipulation was that it be floral and have vines. I absolutely love it and it's my favorite one! I get lots of compliments on it, too.

This was my third tattoo and I got it sometime around 1994. It took about an hour and I didn't mind it a bit. I don't remember the artist, but it was done at Lynnwood Tattoo.
